About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our team in Kingston and Richmond. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a critical role in supporting children and young people by undertaking child protection investigations, safety and contingency planning, and building strong relationships with families and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and effective child protection investigations, identifying and mitigating risks to children and young people.
  • Develop and implement safety and contingency plans to ensure the well-being and safety of children and young people.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, their support networks, and partner agencies to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Work on complex cases, including court work and pre-proceedings experience, requiring a high level of skill, expertise, and emotional intelligence.
  • Contribute to team management, deputising for team leaders and potentially supervising ASYE or students.
  • Ensure children and young people are actively involved in our work and their voice is captured in our case recording.
  • Participate in reflective supervision and group supervision to ensure ongoing professional development and best practice.
Requirements
  • Relevant Social Work qualification.
  • Completion of ASYE.
  • Active Social Work England registration.
