Job Overview
Igloo is seeking a skilled Vehicle Diagnostic Specialist to join our client's team in Coventry. Our client is one of the UK's leading automotive companies, with operations throughout the country.

About the Role
This position involves working on vehicles, handling everything from basic services to complex diagnostics, including electric vehicles (EVs). The successful candidate will spend most of their time working on vehicles, doing both mechanical and electrical repairs, as well as managing warranty claims and keeping paperwork up-to-date. A good understanding of how vehicles work and how to fix them is essential for this role. Additionally, the ability to follow processes and work to deadlines, along with good communication skills and teamwork abilities, are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on vehicles, doing both mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Carry out diagnostics and fix issues, including EV work.
  • Manage warranty claims and keep paperwork up-to-date.
  • Help teammates with diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
  • Keep track of time and ensure work is done efficiently.

Requirements
  • Must hold a recognised Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification (IMI, NVQ, City & Guilds).
  • At least 5 years of experience with a specific vehicle brand, including EV work.
  • Good understanding of how vehicles work and how to fix them.
  • Able to follow processes and work to deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
