Highly Skilled Maternal Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our team at ESNEFT, a large NHS organisation providing hospital and community health services to almost one million people.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented medical professional to work with us and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and administrative responsibility for the Obstetric and Gynaecology Department.
The ideal candidate will have completed CCT or equivalent and be on the Specialist Register. You will also have ATSM in Fetal medicine and other relevant qualifications.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Clinical Leadership: You will provide clinical leadership and administrative responsibility for the Obstetric and Gynaecology Department.
- Risk Management: You will ensure safe and quality care of women and their families by managing risks effectively.
- Supervision and Mentoring: You will supervise junior medical staff and mentor them on rounds and ad-hoc basis.
- Education and Training: You will participate in educational programmes for junior medical staff and maintain an up-to-date job plan and personal development plan.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council
- MRCOG or equivalent
- Training and experience equivalent to UK CCT
- Entry onto the Specialist Register in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or within 6 months of CCT date at interview
- ATSM in Fetal medicine
you must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
