About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Director - Cyber Security and Innovation to lead our IT function in Edinburgh. This is an interim role requiring strong leadership and technical expertise in IT applications.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in security, cloud computing, and Microsoft environments. They will also have experience in managing service desk operations, driving innovation and efficiencies, and providing exceptional IT services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cyber security initiatives, interpreting the current IT strategy and ensuring smooth delivery of the IT transformation programme
  • Manage eight IT colleagues, the wider transformation team, and provide exceptional IT services
  • Drive innovation and efficiencies, leveraging Microsoft environments and IT best practices
  • Oversee supplier management, IT procurement, and new system implementation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 day per week on-site in Edinburgh
  • Engage via an FCSA accredited Umbrella company
  • Previous experience with ERP or CRM implementations, ideally including MS Dynamics in complex organisations
  • Strong understanding of cyber security concepts, accreditations, and trends
  • Experience managing small IT Services Desk and IT Engineering teams
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft environments (O365, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune)

Compensation Package:

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus comprehensive benefits.
