Maths Tutor Role

We are working with a vibrant secondary school dedicated to fostering an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

The school are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Tutor to provide tailored support to enhance a student's understanding of mathematical concepts and improve their overall performance in the subject.

This role will involve working one-to-one with the student at school for 2 hours, 4 days a week. The pay for this role will be between £30-£40 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions focused on mathematics.
  • Develop personalized lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring sessions with the curriculum.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence in mathematics.
  • Assist students in preparing for exams, including GCSEs and other assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status - Mathematics.
  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics at the secondary level is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
