Job Title: Senior Psychologist (Band 8a)

We are seeking a skilled Senior Psychologist to work within Psychological Services at Ferndene Hospital. This fixed term appointment offers opportunities for professional development and may lead to a permanent position.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with children and young people's inpatient wards, providing direct and indirect care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and treating complex mental health issues, such as trauma, self-harm, eating disorders, autism, and learning disabilities.
  • Developing and implementing evidence-based psychological interventions.
  • Providing clinical supervision and consultation to other professionals and non-professional groups.

This role is open to applicants with post-qualification experience in working with children and young people, preferably in an inpatient setting.

A competitive salary of £80,000 per annum is on offer, commensurate with experience. Benefits include access to ongoing professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
