Senior Electrical Engineer Job Opportunity

Belcan Workforce Solutions is excited to offer a contract opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer at a multinational oil and gas corporation's Fife site.

Job Summary

This is a 12-month contract position offering full-time on-site work within an IR35 framework.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and facilitate discipline engineering technical work products.
  2. Communicate and coordinate various issues among the company's and contractor's engineering team that affect discipline engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  3. Evaluate and comment on work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to ensure it meets Company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; process deviations according to Company procedures.
  5. Steward discipline engineering queries from the Contractor and sub-contractors as well as technical information requests.
  6. Keep Lead Engineer informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns.
  7. Participate in discipline engineering reviews at Contractor's and subcontractor's locations.
  8. Drive and promote capital efficiency in engineering design.
  9. Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by Supervisor.
  10. Apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
  3. Proficient in data collection and analysis with common database and software data analysis tools such as SAP, Analytics for Excel, and Tableau.
  4. Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
  6. Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications.
Desirable Skills
  1. BS#removed#th Edition qualified.
  2. CompEx Ex12 qualified.
