Job Title: Classroom Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Classroom Assistant to join our team at the Education Authority. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in the classroom, providing support to students with varying needs and abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Provide administrative support to teachers, including preparing materials and resources for lessons.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 2 childcare qualification as approved by the Education Authority.
  • Have a minimum of six months' experience of working with children in a formal learning environment.
  • Evidence of a working knowledge of information technology systems, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and C2K schools IT systems.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Have a minimum of one year's experience of working with children.
  • Have a minimum of six months' experience working as a Classroom Assistant with children with special educational needs.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure of Criminal Background check as part of the recruitment process.
