Job Description

The post holder will work in a team that maintains the linear accelerator treatment machines and other radiotherapy equipment operational, maintained, repaired, and safe. This role includes assisting with installation, commissioning, QA, and development, as well as designing innovative equipment and providing specialist advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on the safe working condition and alignment of clinical treatment machines.
  • Assist in the system management of the radiotherapy treatment computer systems.
  • Undertake Quality Assurance regimes on treatment machines according to local protocol.
  • Undertake specific Research and Development Projects and help instigate changes of practice resulting from these.
  • Assist with the commissioning of treatment machines as required.
