The Supplier Assurance & Audit Specialist role at Direct Line Group offers a dynamic chance to join our Leeds or London-based team. In this position, you will work closely with our Shared Services department to implement our Supplier Assurance Strategy, focusing on managing and conducting supplier assurance and compliance audits for Procurement & Supply Chain.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out both remote and onsite assurance and audit activities within our supply chain, ensuring that suppliers adhere to contractual, legislative, or regulatory requirements while minimizing any risk to DLG.\
  • Contribute to the development of our departmental strategy by keeping up-to-date with key industry regulations, such as those from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).\
  • Verify the external scope and maintain a detailed audit trail to explain decisions not to test specific scope items.\
  • Perform due diligence assessments on potential suppliers to identify potential risks before they are onboarded.\
  • Guarantee consistency in risk classifications and reporting, and highlight any emerging trends or patterns.\
  • Oversee internal and external stakeholders to ensure the completion of assessment actions, documenting evidence for closure/resolution and maintaining a comprehensive audit trail.\
  • Support other areas of the business by responding to ad-hoc assessment requests, providing expert advice when necessary.\
  • Leverage experience in risk management and audit to inform strategic decisions.\
  • Maintain a deep understanding of commercial practices.\
