About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Lovell Homes. This exciting opportunity will see you working on mixed tenure and/or contracting schemes within the region, driving financial cost control and reporting excellence.

The role will be site-based, with occasional travel to our regional office in Derby. You will report to our Managing Quantity Surveyor and be responsible for leading a team of Assistant and Trainee Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash management and administration of subcontractor accounts
  • Cultivating longstanding relationships and promoting dispute avoidance
  • Identifying commercial threats to projects and communicating with the Managing Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Director
  • Supervising and training Assistant and Trainee Surveyors
Requirements

Educated to a minimum of degree level in quantity surveying, you will have substantial relevant experience gained from within the construction industry. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, you will also have knowledge of measurement and valuation, final accounts, sub-contract orders, and buying.
