About the Role
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Radiation Protection Advisor to join our team at Springfields Fuels Ltd. As a key member, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure workplace, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving innovation in radiation protection.

Responsibilities
1. Assist the Head of Radiation Protection in developing and implementing a comprehensive Radiation Protection Strategy.
2. Provide expert advice on radiological safety matters, supporting operational teams in their duties.
3. Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective controls to mitigate potential hazards.
4. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, informing recommendations for enhanced radiation protection measures.
5. Prepare and present detailed reports on performance metrics and incidents, highlighting areas for improvement.
6. Advise on instrument selection and suitability for safe operation in nuclear environments.
7. Develop and deliver comprehensive training packages on radiation safety best practices.

Requirements
1. Current RPA2000 Certification as RPA or Health Physicist, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and legislation.
2. A STEM-related degree (Level 6) and advanced expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including cloud-based systems.
3. Proven experience working as a Health Physicist in the nuclear industry, with extensive knowledge of instrumentation and environmental permitting regulations.
4. Familiarity with radioactive waste management and/or RWA certification.

Competitive Salary & Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and annual leave.
