Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Open GI Ltd. As a key member of our QA Chapter, you will be responsible for driving the Test Automation and Performance strategy, ensuring the delivery of quality tools and services to our wider delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a vision for the QA capability within the X platform team and work closely with wider QA and Engineering teams to continuously evolve and improve test practices.
  • Develop and implement a testing strategy across the team, supporting others in creating and choosing test frameworks, and understanding the technical architecture of the application.
  • Validate the quality perspectives of different cross-functional requirements, such as accessibility, usability, and availability, across the application using relevant processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Strategize testing around database behaviors and data lifecycle, establishing relevant processes, tools, and methods to ensure quality.
  • Perform manual exploratory testing of the application at different layers, with an understanding of quality from different dimensions, to accredit the application as quality software.
  • Design and implement test automation holistically at different layers of the application, enabling faster and continuous delivery.
  • Understand and validate various performance-related requirements in an application across different layers using different tools and techniques.
  • Manage stakeholders, communicate effectively, and champion lean and agile principles for achieving quality, adaptability, speed, and alignment.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to fellow team members, building authentic relationships and empowering development.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of quality analyst experience, 5+ years of QA leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in implementing QA Automation Frameworks to support CI/CD.
  • 5+ years of experience in implementing Performance Engineering and Testing to support CI/CD.
  • Experience of training and delegating Test Automation tasks and processes to other team members.
  • Experience of continuous inspection tooling for code quality.
  • 5+ years of experience in automated Quality reporting and dashboards.
  • Experience working with Extreme Programming methods.
  • Experience working within a cross-functional delivery team.
  • Experience working with Evolutionary Architecture and how to test it effectively using fitness functions.
  • Experience of working in Public Cloud, such as AWS or Azure, an advantage.

Location:

This role can be based in either our Worcester, Winchester, or Milton Keynes locations, and we are looking for candidates who are currently based within a 50-mile radius of our offices.
