Job Description

Future Prospects Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning Accountant to join their team in Lincoln. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of accounting controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Statutory Accounts and Audit: Manage the statutory accounts process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • VAT Management: Process UK VAT returns and oversee EU VAT submissions, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Payroll and Accounts Payable: Supervise payroll and accounts payable functions, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining accounting systems and processes, implementing changes to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • A qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent) with 4-5 years post qualification experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, analysis, and planning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and able to learn new software quickly.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
