The role?

A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Workshop Mechanical Technician to join our workshop in Aberdeen. This is a full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week with opportunity for overtime.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out inspection, service, repair, and test of hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical equipment including winches, pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, hot oil flushing of hoses and pipework, hook balls / blocks, crane boom
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop area and ensuring all company equipment is kept in good order
  • Ensuring project requirements are met within allocated time or raising with Supervisor if there is an issue with this
  • Providing training to newer members of the team as required
  • Upholding company standards and working in line with company systems and objectives
  • May be required to work on site locally as and when required

To be successful in the role, you will have completed a mechanical apprenticeship or achieved a formal qualification and have solid experience in the repair and maintenance of the equipment outlined.

You will have proven experience working either in a Senior Technician capacity already or be an experienced Technician currently looking for a step up in role.

This is an onshore workshop-based role, and so candidates must have previous experience in this environment.

We estimate the salary range for this role to be between £45,000 - £60,000 per annum based on the level of experience and qualifications required.
