Chief Credit Risk Model Development Lead

About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in credit risk modeling, statistical analysis, and regulatory compliance. As a Chief Credit Risk Model Development Lead, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining credit risk models that meet regulatory requirements and support business objectives.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing and implementing credit risk models that are compliant with regulatory requirements, such as IRB (Internal Rating-Based) models and IFRS 9;
- Maintaining and updating existing models to ensure they remain relevant and effective;
- Providing technical guidance and support to stakeholders on credit risk modeling and related issues;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure model development aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements;
- Conducting regular reviews and assessments of model performance and providing recommendations for improvement;
- Representing Adway Associates in industry forums and conferences to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in credit risk modeling;
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional who has a strong background in credit risk modeling and statistical analysis. The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or economics;
- Significant experience in credit risk modeling, including experience with IRB and IFRS 9 models;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels;
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as CRR, PRA, and EBA;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with programming languages such as SAS, Python, or R;

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £80,000 to £120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:
