We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Kin Vet Community as a Night Veterinary Surgeon. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and compassionate environment, providing exceptional care to pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities- Work as a sole charge Veterinary Surgeon, providing emergency and critical care services to patients.
- Consult with owners and provide advice on patient care and treatment.
- Record all owner contact and patient information to ensure continuity of care.
- Care for inpatients throughout the night, adjusting treatments and carrying out diagnostics and procedures as necessary.
- Confirm plans for the following day by writing patient kennel sheets and adjusting medications accordingly.
- Contact inpatient owners overnight as necessary and contact all inpatient owners in the morning to update them on their animals progress and plan.
- Provide handover to the morning inpatient vet.
- Collaborate with the on-call Vet for second opinions or extra help as needed.
Kin Vet Community is a community of passionate professionals committed to caring for the pets of the communities we serve. We are proud of our out-of-hours service and work hard to provide the best level of care, tailored to our clients and patients, with knowledge and compassion.
We are looking for a candidate who will share in this goal, with use of their experience in emergency and critical care. This position would suit a locum or someone looking for a fixed-term contract.
