About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Network Engineer to join our team in central southern England and the north of Scotland. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing flexible networks that are vital for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and specify works needed to optimise existing asset performance and condition.
  2. Analyse network capability to accommodate demand and high-volume generation connections.
  3. Work closely with design and delivery teams to ensure network development is economic, efficient, and coordinated.
  4. Transfer learning from on-going innovation projects into day-to-day planning function.

Requirements:

  • HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with relevant industry experience, or engineering degree working towards Chartered Engineer.
  • Fundamental knowledge of planning, design, operation, protection, and control of electricity networks, and interface with Transmission.
  • Knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and license requirements, industry-wide codes, network, and engineering standards.
  • Conversant in using Power System Analysis software; experience with PowerFactory and Python an advantage.
