Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing geotechnical structures, carrying out desktop studies, and mentoring junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design geotechnical structures, including retaining walls, slopes, foundations, and infrastructure.
  • Conduct desktop studies to inform design decisions.
  • Scope and oversee ground investigations as required.
  • Mentor junior members of the team to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Geotechnical Design Engineer, with a strong understanding of soil mechanics.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Excel, Alp, PDisp, Rocscience Slide, ADC Adsec, Oasys Pile, and WALLAP.
  • Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a geotechnical focus), or similar (MSc preferred).
  • Full and clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Reside in or near London.
  • Hold a full right to work in the UK.
