About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Consultant to join our team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. As a key member of our General Medicine department, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to our patients and contributing to the ongoing development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the management of inpatient general medicine services
  • Supervising and mentoring junior doctors, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care
  • Participating in education and training programs for medical students, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals
  • Contributing to the development of clinical governance activities and quality improvement initiatives within the department
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • Higher professional training in General Internal Medicine is essential
  • Hold the MRCP(UK) or equivalent
  • Higher professional training in a subspecialty is desirable
