About the Role:

At ConvaTec, we are committed to pioneering human-centered innovation to improve people's lives with deeply personal and challenging medical conditions. We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic individual to join our Human Factors Engineering team as a Senior Human Factors Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise and passion for user-centered design to our team, working closely with cross-functional partners to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of our users. As a Senior Human Factors Engineer, you will be responsible for leading user research, usability testing, and human factors applied research in the development of new solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of the early-stage user research role, process, and deliverables.
  • Establishing the role of user research and education of the rest of the organization.
  • Deploying a variety of primary and secondary research techniques to collect and process data across multiple areas, including field research, usability testing, ergonomics, expert review, etc.
  • Conducting human factors applied research in the development of new solutions.
  • Acting as an internal consultant providing firsthand insights to support development and product enhancement.
  • Managing projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision.
  • Coaching and reviewing the work of colleagues.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education – Master's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Anthropology, Biomedical Engineering, Cognitive Engineering, Industrial Design, Psychology, or relevant majors.
  • Experience working with Human Factors Engineering and User Research.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience from a regulated industry (Pharma or MedTech) or 8 years of experience with User Research & Human Factors from consumer products.
Working Conditions:

Between office and home (up to 3 days at home/per week) and 30-40% travel days are expected for team meetings and user studies.
