Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Immunisation Nurse Specialist to join our team within the Directorate of Public Health and Health Policy.

About the Role

The post-holder will provide specialist immunisation advice to patients, clinical and non-clinical staff across NHS and their partners. Key responsibilities include responding to routine and occasionally complex clinical vaccination queries, delivery of education and training, contributing to improvement measures following adverse incidents, and supporting vaccination outreach in the community to marginalised groups.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners. A strong commitment to public health principles and experience in tackling health inequalities is essential.

Requirements
  • You must be a registered nurse (with current registration on the NMC)
  • A PVG Scheme membership/record is required

Please note that this post requires flexibility and the ability to work from various locations throughout Lothian. The department operates an agile working model, supporting a blend of working at home and days on site each week.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience. As a member of NHS Scotland, you will also have access to a range of benefits, including pension schemes and health insurance.
