This is an Associate level opportunity within the Global Client Group at Brookfield Asset Management, supporting the CRM team in their goal to raise capital for the company. The Associate will work across all asset classes, including real estate, infrastructure, renewables, and private equity, and across all parts of the fundraising process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of fund marketing activities, client prospect due diligence, and onboarding processes
  • Work with CRMs to originate new client investment activity
  • Coordinate and attend update meetings with investment teams
  • Cover on-site due diligence meetings with investment teams
  • Directly communicate with clients to support their due diligence requests
  • Maintain Brookfield's internal CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Assist with ad-hoc Business Development activities
  • Conduct alternative asset industry research and client-specific research
  • Compile detailed pre-meeting reports for each client meeting
  • Complete ad-hoc profiles on prospects
  • Perform detailed research and analysis
  • Monitor industry press for information relating to our respective prospects and competitors
  • Coordinate road shows, conferences, and investor meetings

Candidate Profile

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Postgraduate studies in finance (e.g., CFA, MBA, or CA/CPA) advantageous
  • Relevant experience (2-4 years) working in the financial services industry, with knowledge of property, infrastructure, private equity, or alternative asset funds
  • Strong investment and financial analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), with experience of Salesforce a plus
  • Team player with a positive attitude and pro-active approach to work
  • Able to develop strong internal and external relationships
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to get involved in challenging projects
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation and delivery of presentations
  • Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail
