About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Waste Water Recycling team at Severn Trent. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the proactive and reactive maintenance of electrical assets onsite, including sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively and reactively maintain electrical assets onsite, including sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment works.
  • React to failures and planned improvement works across the area.
  • Carry out service and replacement of assets, including pump motors, electrical circuitry components, contactors, overloads, slip ring assemblies, telemetry outstations, variable speed drives, and motor control circuits.
  • Support local maintenance teams, carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance activity on electromechanical wastewater assets.
  • Undertake fault diagnostics and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Complete electrical inspections and testing.
  • Interpret and update electrical drawings.
  • Support the design and build of new processes.
  • Provide timely feedback on work carried out on a daily basis.
  • Own site electrical performance.
  • Monitor treatment processes using SCADA systems and act on alarms as required.

Requirements

  • NVQ level electrical qualification.
  • Knowledge of the 18th Edition Electrical Regulations and ongoing new additions.
  • A full UK driving license is required for the role.
