Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to join our team at Orion Group. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion safety requirements and ensure that facility design and project management consistently meet these standards.
  • Perform design work and/or lead activities for assigned projects, including managing work and resources, providing technical leadership, and producing deliverables.
  • Conduct analysis, calculations, and engineering studies, producing technical safety deliverables in accordance with standards and international codes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance in safety design requirements, assist with manhour estimates and planning, and actively participate in technical safety reviews.
Requirements
  • Significant knowledge of technical safety aspects within the energy business.
  • Extensive experience in Risk Identification and Assessment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, accredited by a relevant chartered engineering institute.
  • Chartered Engineer or certified process safety practitioner status is preferred.
