Job Title: Lecturer in Financial Economics

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in Financial Economics to join our team at Saíd Business School. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality teaching and research in the field of financial economics.

About the Role

The Lecturer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering teaching materials for our MSc in Financial Economics degree programme
  • Reviewing and re-creating key content from the current version of the degree
  • Preparing new content and new material to be used in pedagogically innovative ways
  • Supporting senior academic colleagues in the Finance area by engaging in some teaching on the degree
  • Providing supervision for taught students and engaging in their own research
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A doctorate in finance or a related discipline
  • A background of, or potential for, high-quality independent research in the field
  • Experience of leading and developing curricula
  • Demonstrated programme and project management skills
  • Sufficient teaching experience and depth of knowledge to teach and/or supervise taught graduate students
  • Ability to contribute to the wider academic profile of the School
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
