Service Engineer

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Service Engineer to join our team at Luton Bennett. As a successful and international manufacturer of forklift trucks, we're seeking a highly motivated individual to provide local field-based maintenance and repair services.

This role is perfect for engineers with experience in plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, as well as vehicle technicians looking to transition into a new industry. You'll receive comprehensive on-the-job training, an extensive benefits package, and opportunities for career progression.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment in Northampton. With no stay away or extensive travel required, you'll enjoy a great work-life balance. Overtime is available if desired, mostly during the week.

In this role, you'll have access to a fully expensed Ford Transit Custom van, fuel card, and other excellent benefits. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional service and possess mechanical service and repair skills, ideally with engine diagnostic and basic electrical knowledge, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
* Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
* Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
* Spares placed in van overnight

Requirements:
* Plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
* Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
* Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject

Our competitive salary for this role is £33,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
