Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Director to join our team at QED Legal in Birmingham. As a highly regarded Legal 500 tiered firm, we have a strong presence in the UK market and a diverse range of clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership Role: Take on a leadership position within our Employment Law team, working closely with partners and senior associates to drive business growth and development.
  • Caseload Management: Manage a varied caseload consisting of employment law matters, including advice on health and social care, financial services, higher education, housing, and commercial markets.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance on employee relations issues, including settlement negotiations, restructuring, and redundancy processes.
  • Policy Development: Review and draft policies for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Contractual Advice: Offer expert advice on contractual matters, including employment contracts and settlement agreements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Employment Law Director or Senior Solicitor.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations, with the ability to stay up-to-date with changes and developments in the field.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £95,000, depending on experience.
