Job Opportunity: Trading Standards Assessor (Contract, Part-Time)

This role offers a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, and a generous benefits package. As a Trading Standards Assessor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that businesses comply with legal requirements and operate within best practice when dealing with consumers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of businesses to ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Provide guidance and support to businesses to improve their compliance
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and address compliance issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including businesses, consumers, and other regulatory bodies
Requirements:
  • Recognised trading standards qualification covering fair trading, contract law, and product safety
  • Experience in trading standards or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
