We are looking for a talented Treasury Optimization Specialist to join our team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our Treasury Optimisation team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our Treasury operations.

As a Treasury Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for driving change, efficiency, and risk reduction across our Treasury function. You will work closely with Treasury teams to understand their needs, drive value add change, create efficiencies, bolster system integrity, and reduce risk.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of technology and risk management, as well as exposure to diverse teams across Treasury and Finance. You will also have the chance to become a Treasury SME, supporting Murex change in your area, impact analysis, testing, and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Treasury Middle Office business area to identify areas for further exploiting technology suite
  • Drive enhancement of business processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase stakeholder satisfaction
  • Act as first point of contact for delivering new Treasury product proposals, liaising with Optimisation team and wider Treasury
  • Manage analysis of complex cross-functional requirements for technology solutions
About You:

We are seeking an experienced Treasury professional with:

  • In-depth knowledge of treasury, ideally with a middle office reporting background and understanding of liquidity, capital, market risk, or accounting
  • Experience leading business analysis in a Treasury facing role or equivalent
  • Experience using Murex or equivalent Front to Back Treasury trading system

You should possess strong communication skills up to Senior Leadership team level, with the ability to challenge when needed. Self-motivation, learning appetite, time management, and prioritization skills are also essential.

Estimated salary: £72,500 per annum.
