Job Title: Civil Engineer - Highways and Drainage

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Civil Engineer to join our Highways and Drainage Team in Lancashire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for mentoring graduate engineers and engineering technicians to develop their skillsets and meet the required needs and demands of our clients and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor graduate engineers and engineering technicians to assist on existing workload and develop their skillsets.
  • Ensure best practices are applied within the office and assist the Directors with improving design services and operational efficiency.
  • Minimum three years' experience within Highways and Drainage design.
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD and Causeway Flow or equivalent design software.
  • Producing detailed drainage and highway calculations and sketches.
  • Familiarity with CIRIA design guides, BRE digest, and BS EN752.
  • Working experience within the adoptable standards Section 278, Section 38, and Section 104.
  • Commercial awareness of costing, budgets, and quotations.
  • Report writing and site visits to verify construction complies with construction drawings.
  • Preparing specifications.

Requirements:

  • Chartered with either CIWEM, ICE, and/or CIHT.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.
