We are seeking an innovative and inclusive leader to join our Supportive and Palliative Care Team as a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will be an integral member of our team, co-located with us at Weston General Hospital.
About the RoleThe post-holder will act as an autonomous practitioner, providing highly specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and management of adult patients with specialist palliative care needs. They will be a member of our multidisciplinary Supportive and Palliative Care Team, working closely with senior colleagues to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and management of adult patients with specialist palliative care needs.
- Act as a highly specialised source of expertise on the management of patients with specialist palliative care needs within the Trust.
- Undertake a clinical leadership role, planning, coordinating, and delivering the therapy service provided to patients on a day-to-day basis.
- Contribute to the development of our pilot service for patients with specialist palliative care needs, gathering data to support sustainable funding.
- Advise, share experience with, and guide less experienced colleagues, non-registered staff, and students in the care of patients with specialist palliative care needs.
