Production Supervisor Opportunity
At Dr. Oetker, we're breaking new ground in the food industry. We're seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to join our team in London, Ontario.
About the Role
The Production Supervisor will oversee the activities of employees engaged in various areas of the manufacturing process. This includes managing employee performance, monitoring materials, coordinating equipment issues with the maintenance department, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of employees to ensure targets and high standards are achieved.
- Maintain accurate records related to staff, health and safety, and best practices.
- Monitor quality and efficiency standards, addressing issues and escalating concerns to the Line Manager.
- Manage stock levels, material supply, and material utilization using SAP.
- Inspect work areas daily, identifying areas requiring attention and taking corrective action.
- Set an example for the team, ensuring adherence to PPE and food safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in a unionized and/or food manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Experience supervising a team of up to employees.
- Experience working with SAP or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of KPIs, Health and Safety, Food Safety, Quality, HACCP, Waste Rate, and Run Rates.
- Sound knowledge of OH&S systems.
- Excellent leadership, change management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
