About this role

As a cook at Cumberland Council, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritionally balanced meals that meet the specific dietary needs of our residents. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, completing necessary paperwork, and adhering to infection control and Environmental Health requirements.

Your key responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare meals that meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and adhere to infection control and Environmental Health requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
