Instrumentation Project Manager Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in the Birmingham area, is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Project Manager to join their Installation, Maintenance and Calibration Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full life-cycle of plant instrumentation projects from concept to commissioning.
  • Oversee the creation and modification of instrumentation drawings using CAD software.
  • Lead the management of change system for plant instrumentation systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of instrumentation documents, including Loop Drawings, I/O Lists, P&ID's, Network architecture Diagrams, Bill of Quantities, and Equipment Schedules.
Requirements:
  • At least 7-10 years of commercial experience in managing instrumentation projects within the chemical process or similar regulated industry sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex instrumentation projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
