Job Purpose


This role will play a key part in ensuring we do business the right way through effective investigations. The Investigations Manager will act as a subject matter expert on investigations matters, conducting investigations and identifying trends, controls failures or gaps, and providing timely and effective guidance to senior leaders and partners.


Key Responsibilities



  2. Conduct sensitive and complex internal investigations to a high standard, ensuring alignment with regulatory and legal requirements, and working closely with other functions including Business Integrity, Global Audit and Risk, Global Business Operations, Digital & Technology, HR, Brand Protection. Make clear recommendations in concise written outputs and present conclusions to senior partners effectively.
  3. Identify relevant controls failures/gaps and recommend corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  4. Support the Head of Investigations on various programmes/projects, including e-discovery and forensics, training and capability development.

Essential Qualifications & Experience


The candidate will be an investigations professional with at least 10 years relevant experience. Experience in conducting and leading sensitive investigations in a corporate environment is essential. Excellent writing, presentation and speaking skills in English are required. Expertise/experience in e-discovery tools in investigations, as well as other relevant technology, is expected.

  • Ability to produce and present effective written/oral reports on complex investigations to senior executives and/or other senior stakeholders, ensuring legal privilege is protected where necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, building effective relationships with partners.
  • High levels of integrity and professionalism, with strong ethical values and a thorough understanding of Diageo's values, standards, governance and controls.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organisation and manage projects through and with geographically dispersed colleagues, with strong influence and interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, empathy and sensitivity.
  • Ability to deal with delicate situations and potentially conflicting priorities, while maintaining a diplomatic balance.
  • Occasional international travel may be required for investigations.
