The Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Director of Research and Insights to shape ISTARI's thought leadership initiatives and make a meaningful contribution to our ISTARI Academy programming. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing ISTARI as a global leader in cybersecurity expertise by producing impactful research, publishing high-quality insights, and delivering educational content to boards, executives, and cyber leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage your expertise to develop and lead a primary research agenda that aligns with ISTARI's mission to advance cybersecurity knowledge and resilience across all levels of an organization.
  • Produce high-quality thought leadership content, including whitepapers, reports, articles, and industry insights, showcasing ISTARI's expertise and thought leadership.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of global cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and regulatory developments to inform research priorities and insights for clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and academic institutions to enhance research output and maximize its impact.
Academy Programmes and Education
  • Contribute as a faculty member and subject matter expert to ISTARI Academy's educational programs, co-designing and co-delivering engaging sessions for cyber leaders, executives, and boards.
  • Develop case studies, simulations, and interactive content to create a rich learning experience for participants.
Board Training and Engagement
  • Design and deliver tailored board training sessions to educate and empower directors on the business implications of cybersecurity.
  • Partner with clients to tailor training materials to meet their specific organizational needs and industry contexts.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity research, thought leadership, insights generation, or related fields.
  • Experience publishing thought leadership content in recognized industry publications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in lecturing, training, or public speaking, particularly for senior audiences such as boards and executives.
  • Familiarity with the intersection of cybersecurity, business strategy, and risk management.
  • Desirable experience in designing and delivering educational or training programs, particularly for executives/boards.
Benefits
  • Salary: $125,000-$155,000 annually.
  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, business, or a related field.
