We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Area Director. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing an operational area structure, driving business growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of Business Managers, Transfer Station Managers, Industry Experts, and Operatives to achieve operational excellence and business growth.
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Fleet, Customer Services, Sales, Risk and Assurance, HR, and Finance, to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement plans to achieve commercial customer success measures, including first-time collection rate, recovery collections, bin delivery, proactive communication, invoice accuracy, losses, and call handling performance.
- Support the Commercial Strategy Manager in rolling out national projects under our sustainability, efficiency, and growth priorities.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Level 5 Leadership and Management or equivalent work experience.
- Strong business acumen and operational management experience.
- Financial management experience with experience of producing and presenting financial models and business plans.
- Transport Manager CPC.
- Ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Seasoned leader with a demonstrable track record of leading high-performance teams.
- Experience of leading and driving transformation and change.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to implement strategy and embed it into a business.
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus.
