Job Overview

As a Senior BMS & Quality Lead for Histology at Unilabs UK, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high-quality delivery of histology laboratory services. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in histology laboratory operations and quality management. You will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team.

You will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in histology laboratory operations and quality management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs and processes to monitor and improve histology laboratory performance and compliance.
  • Lead and participate in audits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to laboratory staff regarding histology processes and procedures.
  • Train and mentor histology team members on quality management principles and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze quality indicators and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in histology laboratory operations and quality management.
  • Strong knowledge of histology laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing quality assurance programs and processes.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to histology laboratory operations.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
