Job Summary

We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team at Queen Elizabeth 6th Form College. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service, providing excellent customer service to students and staff, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages to students and staff
  • Operate the till and manage cash transactions
  • Serve hot and cold meals, including making Starbucks beverages
  • Prepare food and ingredients for service
  • Set up counters and clean all areas of the food service operation
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and staff
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors
  • Undertake relevant training to develop skills and knowledge in food hygiene and health and safety
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar catering role is desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
