Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and qualified fitter/mechanic/technician to join our team at Stagecoach South. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a modern and varied fleet of vehicles, ensuring our customers can travel safely and comfortably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on vehicles using a range of diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and support staff to maintain and repair vehicles.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Qualified mechanical background with a vehicular focus.
  • Experience of working on a range of vehicles, including buses and HGVs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
