Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

Exciting role for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food industry company in Herefordshire. This position is crucial in maintaining high-quality and efficiency standards, contributing to supplying major supermarkets and restaurants with high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and Breakdown/Reactive Maintenance of Plant and Equipment.
  • Ensure Engineering maintenance is carried out in line with the current schedule and effective corrective action is taken.
  • Quick and effective response to breakdowns, identifying root cause and suggesting possible improvements.
  • Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to Management and work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption.
  • Record and identify spare parts used and report to the Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure Maintenance and Engineering practices are audit compliant and follow good engineering standards and hygiene practice.
Requirements:
  • Time served Multi-skilled Apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility with a positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • IEE 17th or 18th Edition and PLC experience are desirable.
