Design Manager Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Robertson Group. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process, ensuring strict adherence to design and build procedures, and coordinating external contractors with the Design team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development of all Contractor design within the project
  • Ensure strict adherence to all design and build procedures
  • Ensure the design and delivery program is always adhered to
  • Coordinate external contractors with the Design team
  • Develop and finalise various works packages
  • Ensure the external contractor's elements of the project are developed in accordance with the project specifications and drawings achieving the desired quality
  • Effectively manage and coordinate sub-contractors works packages and design information flow
  • Chair Co-ordination Meetings and Subcontractor Design Meetings and any other such meetings as necessary
  • Responsible for contract administration for the contractor's design portion packages
  • Assist in providing monthly internal and external site performance reports covering design, design development, risk and procurement / off site manufacture.
  • Assist the commercial team with subcontract issues and any divergence from the tendered bid

Requirements:

We are looking for a degree-qualified individual with extensive experience within a design management role. You will be confident in your decisions and calm and quick to adjust to unexpected challenges. You will be ambitious and want a career where you can grow and progress.
