We are seeking a highly skilled Island Infrastructure Specialist to oversee the maintenance and operation of our island's power and water systems. This critical role requires a broad range of abilities in repair, maintenance, and servicing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and service the island's power generators, water supplies, and vehicles to ensure uninterrupted operation.
  • Plan and execute maintenance, repair, and improvement programmes in line with the island's needs and budget constraints.
  • Carry out a mix of large-scale projects and minor works, including annual and cyclical servicing, as well as responsive maintenance to the highest standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in generator service engineering with electrical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Combined Heat/Power (CHP) and water treatment systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent cross-disciplinary skills, including controls, mechanical, and electrical.
  • Relevant engineering qualification (mechanical apprenticeship or ONC preferable).
  • Candidates with CHP training, marine engineering, or a background in the Armed Forces are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
