About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our team at Parke Lane People. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Logistics Team and ensuring the smooth execution of our supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch and Inbound Management: Track dispatch and in transit progress of purchase orders, highlighting any non-conformance for late dispatch or extended transit time.
  • Transit Time Monitoring: Monitor transit times on a weekly basis and keep the Planning Team informed of any changes to advertised vessel transit times.
  • Purchase Order and Stock Transfer Management: Raise Purchase Orders and Stock Transfer Orders on behalf of the Planning team.
  • Invoice Processing: Process supplier invoices on a weekly basis.
  • Freight Forwarder Management: Ensure all freight forwarder reports are up to date and in the correct format to interface into the business planning system.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with the Planning Team, freight forwarders, transport providers, and warehouses around inbound container bookings and transfers of stock between warehouses.
  • Goods Receipt and Issue Resolution: Daily check of inbound goods receipts and escalate any issues/errors.
  • Priority Management: Work with the Planning Team to prioritize receipt of 'AtRisk' products at each warehouse.
  • Issue Reporting: Keep the Supply Chain function informed of any issues that might impact inbound logistics performance either in origin countries or in the UK.
  • Travel Data Analysis: Extract and report travel data from employee expenses to permit calculation of carbon footprint.
  • Claims Management: Raise and track claims for lost or damaged product - inbound and outbound.
  • Meetings and Reporting: Attend weekly meetings as required and assist the Logistics Manager with weekly/monthly KPI generation and scorecard update for the department.
Requirements
  • Strong Administration Skills: Proven ability to maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Good understanding of supply chain processes and procedures.
  • Education and IT Skills: GCSE level grade C and above in English and Maths, and intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). SAP experience is an advantage.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Professionalism and Flexibility: A professional and friendly manner, with the ability to work flexibly and take initiative when required.
