About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our People Team at Five Guys. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective health and safety strategies across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive health and safety strategy aligned with industry best practices.
  • Lead the health and safety committee to ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Manage health and safety policies, procedures, and monitoring platforms to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and construction teams to ensure health and safety best practices are implemented.
  • Provide expert health and safety advice to senior management and operational teams.
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments and ensure accurate reporting to the Board.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and lead on claims management.
Requirements:
  • Technical/professional qualification in health and safety, such as Graduate IOSH or NEBOSH National General Certificate.
  • Diploma in Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar multi-site business, ideally in hospitality or retail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Able to work independently and take the initiative to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
