About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure and Security Specialist to join our team at Digital Gurus. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our core infrastructure systems, including on-premises and cloud-based IT services, primarily focusing on Azure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee and manage the stability, security, and efficiency of in-house IT systems that support our organization's essential operations.
  • Security and Compliance: Utilize Microsoft Defender security tools to monitor alerts, assess vulnerabilities, investigate security incidents, and fine-tune detection systems for peak performance.
  • Vulnerability Management: Take accountability for and actively lead efforts in vulnerability management across all IT systems, aiming for continual risk reduction.
  • Cybersecurity Support: Support the Cybersecurity Team in responding to cyber incidents and assist with issues escalated by the SOC.
  • Technical Problem-Solving: Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues as part of day-to-day operations.
  • Communication and Documentation: Leverage communication, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities to identify, convey, and resolve issues to optimize the value of IT system investments.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation to ensure that procedures and processes are well-documented, relevant, and consistently followed.
  • IT Solutions Implementation: Collaborate with Project Teams to advise on and aid in the implementation of new IT solutions.
  • System Performance and Optimization: Assess the performance and effectiveness of current systems and devise strategies to enhance or better utilise these resources.
