Warhead Surety Engineer for Enhanced Nuclear Safety Team

We are currently recruiting for a Warhead Surety Engineer to join our Enhanced Nuclear Safety Team, where a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists develop new technologies and products to enhance the Surety (Safety, Security and Dependability) of current and future product systems.

This role is ideally suited to an engineer or scientist with both theoretical and extensive practical experience, who enjoys solving complex technical problems to progress novel conceptual/prototype technologies into mature products.

Within the Warhead Engineering Surety Group, the successful candidate will be required to undertake frequent visits to both UK and overseas delivery partners.

We are looking for a strong degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Science related discipline, with an understanding of Systems Engineering methods and techniques.

A willingness to travel both in the UK and overseas is also essential.

While not a requirement, experience in Requirements capture and product specification, Functional verification & validation testing/trials, Mechanical engineering & design (including CAD, engineering analysis & drawing), High pressure system design, Postgraduate degree such as MSc, MEng, and PhD, Manufacturing techniques, and Materials properties and selection would be desirable.
