Senior Band 6 Occupational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our established and expanding team in acute and rehabilitation services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary therapy team, you will have the opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills and knowledge, while contributing to the delivery of high-quality therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat a range of conditions, developing and implementing effective rehabilitation and discharge plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide a high-quality therapy service.
  • Supervise and develop junior staff, as well as students, to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to service development, research, and audit initiatives.
  • Participate in a weekend rota, aligned to your clinical area, with compensatory rest days.

Requirements:

  • Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating a range of conditions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective rehabilitation and discharge plans.
  • Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team within a clinical environment.
  • Delegation skills to support staff.
  • Experience of general assessment and intervention with patients in a physical setting.
