Transformative Leadership Opportunity in Adult Psychiatry

This exceptional role presents a unique chance for an ambitious psychiatrist to spearhead consultant leadership and oversight across a comprehensive range of adult mental health services within a pioneering NHS trust undergoing transformation. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be instrumental in maintaining safe and effective services during this period.

Main Responsibilities
  • To develop and support integrated care pathways that ensure seamless continuity of care and cater to the diverse needs of our patient population.
  • To provide expert clinical leadership in psychiatry, collaborating closely with the Service Manager to drive high-quality patient care and staff morale.
  • To apply evidence-based approaches to clinical practice, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence within our teams.
  • To take on a proactive role in developing services that prioritize patient-centered care, social inclusion, and cultural diversity.
  • To provide supervision and clinical support to multidisciplinary teams, including complex risk assessments.
  • To undertake Section 12 and Approved Clinician duties related to the Mental Health Act (1983), adhering to the current Code of Conduct of Practice.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is £120,000 - £150,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and access to ongoing professional development opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Full GMC Registration with license to practice.
  • Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician status.
  • Relevant CCT or CESR.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Adult Psychiatry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A commitment to service development and improvement.
